What we collect, and who we sell it to

From the request form: your name, telephone number, email address if you give one, ZIP code, whether you own or rent, the service and symptom you selected, and anything you typed in the notes.

Automatically, at the moment you consent: the date and time, your IP address, your browser user-agent string, and the page you were on. We keep these because they are the record that you gave permission to be contacted, and a record without them is not worth anything.

We do not collect payment details at any point, and we never will. If a page ever asks you for card details, it is not us.

Everything above concerns the request form. The price checker at /check collects far less, on purpose.

It keeps the amount, the type of work, the ZIP code, the date and anything you typed in the description. It does not keep your name, email, telephone number, IP address or browser details, and there is no field anywhere on it for the company that did your work.

None of that is personal information, and none of it is sold or passed to a contractor. We keep it so that we can eventually publish what garage door work really costs in Queens, based on real reports instead of national averages — and when we do, it will be as medians across many reports, never as anyone's individual figure.

Independent garage door contractors serving your ZIP code. They are separate businesses. They are not employed by, supervised by, or agents of Redstone Castle LLC, and once they have your details they are the controller of their own copy.

Our service providers also process it in the course of operating the site: our hosting provider, our database provider, our email sender, and our SMS sender. They act on our instructions and do not sell it on.

We do not sell or transfer your information to data brokers, advertisers, insurers, or anyone outside the purpose you gave it for.

When you tick the consent box you are giving express written permission for contractors and for us to call and text you at the number you provided, including by automated dialling system and prerecorded message, about your request. That permission is not a condition of buying anything.

You can withdraw it at any time. Reply STOP to any text, tell any caller to stop calling, or contact us on +1 (518) 219-0604 or hello@castledoorsny.com. We will stop and we will tell the contractors who received your details to stop.

Ask us and we will delete what we hold. Email or call using the details above and say so plainly; you do not need to give a reason.

What we cannot do is delete a contractor's copy for them. If you ask, we will tell you exactly which contractors received your details and when, so that you can ask each of them directly. We keep the delivery record specifically so that we can answer that question.

We retain the consent record itself for as long as we may need to evidence that permission was given, even after deleting the rest.

Active requests are kept while they are being worked, then for two years, so that we can answer a question about who received what. Consent records are kept for four years, which is the period in which a claim about a call could realistically be brought.

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party advertising trackers.

It does use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights, which count page views and measure how quickly pages load for real visitors. Both are cookieless: they set nothing on your device, store no identifier for you, and cannot follow you to another site. We use them to find out which pages are worth writing and which are too slow — not to build a profile of anybody.

This site is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted a request, contact us and we will delete it.
